How Is ADHD Treated?

The Multi-Treatment Approach
There is no "quick fix" cure for ADHD, but there are ways to successfully manage its symptoms. Your student's treatment plan should be tailored to his or her specific needs, and may include:

  • Behavioral management
  • Counseling
  • Medication

To be most effective, your student's treatment plan may combine two or all three of these approaches, and should involve you, the child's parents or caregivers, and healthcare professionals working as a team.
